my hero. I love my Norris table, my Star coffee
table, the bow table with a butt-match, the display stand Tony gave me as a
housewarming present (what a sweetheart).
His designs use interesting, exotic woods and veneers to great effect, and it
was a pleasure designing his website.
Design Within Reach
Large selection of design classics (Corbusier, Mies) but not as competitively priced as they used to be. Warehouse sales offer some excellent bargains, but items are sometimes damaged beyond repair or use. For real deals, go the second day when items are 50% off the marked price.

My absolute favorite store for one-of-a-kind and made to order crafted furniture. Prices are exorbitant, but sometimes well worth it. I bought a side table by my hero, Anthony M. Buzak, and it's the most beautiful thing in my house. Sure, it took 16 weeks, but it arrived crated, signed, and the wood is perfect except for a tiny knot on one end (a small but interesting flaw).
