We were curious about this place, partly because it's the only non-Chinese restaurant in an all-Chinese shopping center. My friend had the fish and chips, which were standard fare. My bangers and fries (I opted out of the traditional mashed potatos), were tasty but not juicy. It appears the bar has a regular cast of characters, some of whom are actually from the UK. The decor is a bordello-worthy mix of red velvet and dark wood with small framed swatches of plaid labeled by clan, which is fabulous in its own right. 02/2002

Update 05/2006: We return because a) the dumpling place at the shopping center was closed, and b) we felt like some comfort food. Shepherd's pie to be exact. The place hasn't changed at all in four years, although it was fairly busy for a weeknight. The accents were definitely right. Anyway, we had shepherd's pie, which was just fine, and a big burger, which was also just fine. Nothing fancy, just well done and plainly presented, which suited us just fine.
