My ex-boyfriend and I would stop at this tiny converted house for breakfast or lunch on weekends, and the food was amazing. Small steaks with farofa (a toasted manioc powder) to soak up the juices, black beans, rice, and an egg to top it off. Yummy, cheap, and fantastic service!
Corrections and comments from "Big Mike" - 06/01/02 "In referring to your entry of 'that Brazilian place in Santa Cruz,' the name is Cafe Brazil. It is awesome and is own by guys and gals straight from Brazil. Very popular with locals and students. Sunday brunch on a sunny day is a very long wait. No reservations taken, so be there mid morning. The impressive thing is even the non-Brazilian food is good. The eggs Benedict are awesome along with the Bief (beef) Aclava (sp?). Must have a large guava juice with a pot of their nice and strong coffee to round things off."
