New Tires

Potenza G019 Grid
After driving on these since mid-October, here's my feedback:

Ride - Much softer than the Potenza RE750s, more like an American or Japanese "sporty" car. Freeway bumps are less jarring, and city streets don't shake my molars loose. I'm hoping this spares my suspension on pothole-ridden San Francisco streets. Fairly quiet, although there's some tire hum.

Cornering - Do not get these tires if you plan on whipping the car around sharp corners. There's more body lean, and the car feels less "grounded." Wet weather (I talking California rain here, not Texas) grip is good with less hydroplaning than the RE750s.

Cost - Well, these were half the price of the RE705s (which don't come with any warranty). Here's the breakdown:

I bought these at a San Francisco tire store since a) I'd just returned from India the day before, b) there was no way I was going to risk driving all the way down to San Jose on a spare, and c) they're conveniently located near the SoMA gay bars.
