Cooler, wetter weather means not being able to drive as much with the top down. With the top up, I've noticed that apart from the lack of visibility to the rear, the car is still a blast to drive. I have more confidence on rainy freeways compared to when I was driving my Eclipse, and the rain sensor windshield wipers come in very handy.

The only thing that's kind of a drag is that almost immediately after starting the car on a muggy day, the front windshield completely fogs over. If the engine is cold, this means sitting parked for a few minutes while the engine heats up.

October 6 I'm told that the 330cics, unlike the rest of the 330 coupe line, don't have the sports suspension. This explains a lot, like why the car seems to float a bit on wavy pavement. I look into what can be done by Dinan to stiffen up the suspension.

Drove to Sacramento—880 to 680 to 5—which means miles and miles of straightaways. At high speeds, it feels far more stable than at, say, 60 mph. The steering feels stiffer, the suspension feels less springy, and engine noise is masked by the windnoise.

There is basically no difference in the amount of wind buffeting between 60 mph and 100 mph with the wind deflector up. Of course, holding a pinwheel over the windscreen is not a good idea (see what happens when you drive by yourself and get bored).

October 15 Noted damage to my rear tire. May have been from something I hit on the freeway. I'm still noticing an unexplained buzz at around 80 mph. At 90-100 mph it vanishes.
