Q: does anyone know how to put back the driver side door
panel.
A: Sorry, but I don't know how to
pop the door panel back on. You should try Roadfly.com or
one of the other bulletinboards. I'm sure they'll have suggestions.
Q: Nice web site. we share the same passion. I drive
a 2001, 330i sedan. I am very much in tune with my car; I often
hear noises that the average non BMW owner will hear.
I recently
have been hearing a noise in the lrft front when I was in rolling
traffic. It sounded like a left front wheel bearing. I sent
in to the shop and it was not the bearing. a few weeks passed
and I have not heard it. it started again last Thursday. I
am now thinking it could be the left front shock, however the
car is still driving and handling beautifully. have you ever
had any stange nosies like a CLACK, CLACK, CLACK coming
from the left fron of you car?
A: The only similar sound I've heard from my front tires was
unfortunately the sound of my front wheel well protector coming
lose. It's a big piece of hard plastic that's mostly to keep
the engine compartment clean, I think. It only lasted about
about a week, because it decided to fly off with a bang on
the freeway shortly thereafter.

Costs for replacing it are here, I think, but I can't for
the life of me remember what the parts were called. http://www.killerrobot.com/bmw/maintenance.html
Q: I wanted to thank you for the site...I found it about
a year or so ago, and I just bought my first BMW convertible....a
2005 330ci convertible...mystic blue metallic, grey leather,
black top...premium pkg, sports pkg, cold weather package,
xenon headlights and bluetooth...and 12,500 miles!!! CPO until
2012!
Anyway, I've really enjoyed reading your blog, and I wanted
to thank you for inspiring me to go for it!!
A: Sounds like you got a super deal. Actually, an amazing
deal.
I'm still loving my car after 150K miles and a few visits
to the service dept. It runs beautifully (knock on wood) and
the top still performs like a champ. I still think it's the
best version of the soft-top 3 series.
