Nothing much happening.
I will say that oil consumption has gone DOWN finally after
being unusually high for more than a couple of years.
Note from a visitor:
Q: I am interested in purchasing a metallic blue 2001 BMW
330ci coupe, the car has 70000 miles, its in excellent shape
physically and the engine purrs, I've test driven it twice
I can think or hear of anything that sounds OFF so to speak.
I think I can get it at $13,500 from the dealership. Really
love the car, my concern is maintenance costs because I hear
and read horror stories. Right now I drive a not so thrilling
2006 Honda Accord 4cyliner , my commute daily is on average
between 50 to 100 miles. What do you think? Of course I know
about fuel difference already but at 70000 miles I was just
wondering if its a buy that looks good at first but will bring
tons of maintenance costs soon that will make me wish I had
my Honda back. Thanks- great site.
A: An Accord is a fine car, and if you're worried about maintenance
costs (you have some idea of what they'll be from the info
on my site) then the answer is pretty obvious. I will say that
my car averages 24 mpg, and only goes into the dealership for
service every year or so.
I've had a blast driving my car, and I love being able to
enjoy a nice day or night with the top down. And keep in mind
that renters pay $200-300 a day for the same experience. |
