How to change the time on an BMW E46 330ci convertible (yes, I get email on this twice a year):

There's a knob to the immediate right of the odometer. Turn it to the left (counterclockwise) to move the time back; turn it the other way to move it forward. The longer you have it turned, the faster the numbers change.

Convertible top stops working again. I made it to San Francisco on a gorgeous day, parked, put the top up...and it stopped about six inches from the windshield. I tried the buttons again, tried shutting off the car and restarting, tried unlocking the top via the button where the ski passthrough is. Nada. I finally had to crank the top closed manually by using the emergency allen wrench which took a minute or so.

After the top was locked in place, it wouldn't budge at all using the buttons.

This is very frustrating given that I just had the top fixed in January 2005. I have an appointment for Monday, May 2, but may have to delay it since there are layoffs going on at work.
