 The "good" news is that Stevens Creek BMW finally gave me a loaner instead of a crappy rental van/truck like they normally do. A $1,200 service bill does wonders.
It was a late model 330 automatic four-door. Differences between the loaner and my car included...
- Higher driving position. Much higher. I would have had to sit on a firm pillow to be that high in my car.
- A roof. I've gotten so used to being able to drop the top on a nice day that having a hard steel shell over me felt strange. The ride was quieter though not by much
