Oil warning light (yellow) came on while driving home. Added two quarts of Mobil One.

Climate Control Hijinks
The VERY annoying habit of the automatic climate control deciding to roast me whenever I'm near areas of high-powered transmission lines continues. Has anyone else had this problem? Send me a note if you found a solution.

How is the top holding up?

Other than a few wear marks, the dark blue top is doing well.

Here are some photos I took today. There's a light rain falling, so the top is soaked and the marks aren't as obvious. You can still make out where the edges (hems?) have worn lighter. I have no idea how to fix this, nor do I want to.

I purchased my car new in Sept, and just did the top wash/protect. I used the Ragtop wash and Ragtop protectant. This product is recommended by the Hartz, the company that makes BMW fabric for the tops. This last weekend the water was beading on the top like it was the hood and had been freshly waxed.

More Climate Control Hijinks
It turns out that I probably wasn't paying attention when this was happening. It turns out that the problem—the heater suddenly coming on full blast—occurs in the middle of nowhere (not that there aren't electronic transmissions in even the remotest locales.

Another owner writes (the same guy who sent the top protector info) that he's never had this experience, even though he drives through the same corridor that I do, so I'm guessing it's limited to my car.

Tire Pressure
An easy to miss (at least for easily distracted people like me) is that the front tires have a recommended max of 31 psi while the rear should be at 36 psi. I'm assuming this is to unique to the convertible.

Since I drove home to Sacramento for Easter, I decided to check the tires. I bumped the pressure in the rear up to 36 psi, and the ride smoothed out noticeably. I still need to my ding-ed rear passenger side wheel replaced, which is the root of the problem.
