I've finally taken the time to carefully clean the hard cover for the top, which collects amazing amounts of dirt and is ususally overlooked by the carwash folks.

This is when I noted that my rear seat posts (the metal posts that are part of the rear seat headrest) have begun to rust.

I may as well note here that if you sit in the driver's seat when you raise and lower the top, you'll probably never notice the amount of debrish that gets into the storage well for the convertible top (a friend asked me if the bouquet of pomegranate flowers in the well was intentional).

Question Answer
Do you have the manuals for other models or years? No, I only have the 2001 BMW 330ci convertible manual. Exactly why other manuals would be useful is beyond me.
Do you recommend buying a wind deflector? Where should I buy one? Yes, I highly recommend getting the deflector unless you never drive over 25 mph. The lowest prices I've seen online are at Pacific BMW in Glendale. For comparison, I paid $425 for mine.
Where's the best place to buy a BMW? If you're like me and don't like to haggle, I recommend CarsDirect.com All three of the San Francisco dealers I've been to (Weatherford, Stevens Creek, and Peter Pan) have been well-managed with excellent service departments.
How much should I pay for a BMW330ci convertible?

You are probably going to pay within a few thousand dollars of BMW's MSRP unless you know (or have dated) someone with connections. The good news is that the downturn in the economy means that fewer dealers are selling above MSRP, which was the case when I bought my car.

Have you had any problems with your car? Other than the two factory recalls for the faulty fan, no. I chose to have the steering rack replaced as well. Otherwise, the car has been rock solid—rattle-free, and trouble-free.
How do you fix the rattle in the subwoofer? My car doesn't have this problem. Check www.bimmer.org, where there are several suggestions for this problem.
