New Michelins are doing VERY well during the recent rainy weather. I hit a big, hidden puddle on westbound Hwy 92 in the fast lane, and basically just plowed on through with just a slight rear end wiggle to the left. I'm sure the traction control has something to do with it as well, but I definitely feel more confident on slick pavement.

Highway 280 has become a real mess since they repaved it; big puddles all over the place, especially in lane 2. If you're a constant driver on Hwy 280, your best bet is to stay in the fast lane except where the highway turns east-west. Near the Hwy 92 connection, visibility can drop to near zero from all of the mist kicked up by SUVs unless you stay in the windward lane.

Oh, and it looks like they're doing CHP training again, so watch your speed.

A visitor writes that Jon Shafer is no longer at Cutter Motors in Santa Barbara, so I've removed him from the links page.

Another visitor suggested that I add a "tips and tricks" page, although I'm probably the worst person in this regard since I'm mechanically challenged.

Also, if anyone has a info on sales contacts at BWM dealerships, let me know and I'll pass it along. I regularly get 2-3 request for this info per week.
